Alcobendas offers high quality general English courses for adults and for children between 7 and 17 years old during the academic year and an intensive summer courses for teens during July. Our courses range from elementary up to proficiency level. 

Each course is part of a programme of study that will assist you or your child to become proficient in English. We also integrate a Cambridge English exams focus into three of our general English courses to prepare you for the First (FCE), Advanced (CAE) or Proficiency (CPE) exams. 

We provide an intimate learning environment, with highly qualified and professional teachers. Our modern classrooms have a maximum of 12 students and are well-equipped with the most up-to-date technology and interactive whiteboards.

We support your learning both inside and outside the classroom. We offer:

  • a free membership of our library/resource centre for all students, offering a wide range of learning resources
  • an online student/parent portal which offers a wide variety of learning resources and teaching centre news; parents can access their child's progress reports here
  • individual counselling for all adult and young learner students
  • parent-teacher meetings for young learners
  • fun learning competitions for all ages
  • free conversation club for adult students
  • free mock exam and free exam skills support classes for Cambridge exam preparation students (FCE, CAE and CPE)
  • free course book for existing students who re-register within the designated priority registration period.

Our courses are organised across three terms.

You can choose to study for one, two or three terms and pay per term.

How to pay

Adults (academic year): must pay before the beginning of each term. Reservation fee: €100.

Young learners (academic year):  can pay for the whole course in advance or in two instalments. Reservation fee: €250.

Young learners (summer course): must pay for the whole course by 15 June 2015. Reservation fee: 285€.

You can pay by:

  • Credit or debit card (we do not accept American Express)
  • Direct debit
  • Cheque to the British Council
  • Bank transfer (made to Santander account number: ES84 0049 6560 33 2516031124)

We do not accept cash payments.

We only accept credit or debit card for reservation fees.

Complaints procedure

We deal with all comments and complaints seriously and will treat them fairly and impartially. We aim to respond to you promptly – regardless of the subject matter. If we are unable to respond at the first point of contact, we aim to deal with your comment or complaint within ten working days of receipt. Terms and conditions

Refunds must be requested in writing and are by bank transfer only. In the case of a course being cancelled by the British Council, a full refund will be made. Where a student cancels a place before the course start date, a refund minus an administration fee will be made. No refunds will be made once courses have started.
