Changes to our teaching and exams activities, in compliance with recent public-health measures announced in different parts of Spain, are outlined below. Cultural events will continue to be staged online.

ENGLISH CLASSES / TEACHING CENTRES

Our teaching centres are open to the public, providing face-to-face classes as normal in Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Segovia and Valencia.

In Barcelona, following the local government's announcement of new restrictions on extracurricular activities, our face-to-face classes have been temporarily suspended. Early years 3 classes have been suspended from the afternoon of Friday 30 October until further notice. Early years 4 and 5 classes, as well as those of primary, secondary and adult levels, will be delivered online. As the situation in Barcelona develops over the next few days, we will review this decision and resume face-to-face classes as soon as possible. Although in-person classes have been suspended, our Barcelona Teaching Centre remains open to the public between 9.00 am and 8.00 pm.

In Madrid, all our centres are open to the public and are offering face-to-face classes. Students and parents residing in one of the areas where mobility is restricted for public health reasons will require a document authorising travel to classes in our centres; this can be obtained by emailing our Customer Service Team: hello@britishcouncil.es

EXAMS

British Council exams are not affected by the new health and mobility measures. Candidates potentially affected by restrictions on mobility can receive a certificate authorising travel with their exam confirmation documentation.

We continue to offer exams at our centres in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia, as well as all other locations across Spain.
