Changes to our teaching and exams activities, in compliance with public-health orders announced on Thursday 1 October 2020, are outlined below. Cultural events will continue to be staged online.
ENGLISH CLASSES / TEACHING CENTRES
Our teaching centres are open to the public, providing English classes as normal in Barcelona, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Segovia, Valencia and throughout Madrid, with the exception of those centres in areas coming under new public health restrictions.
- Our Madrid Teaching Centre in Paseo del General Martínez Campos. In line with the State of Alarm restrictions applicable to the Comunidad de Madrid from the 9 October, as outlined in the forthcoming BOE, our Madrid Teaching Centre will remain open to the public and we will continue to teach our classes for Primary and Secondary students online. Adult and infant-age students will continue to study in their face-to-face classes as normal.
- Students and parents requiring a document authorising travel to adult and early-years classes in the centre of Madrid can obtain one from our Customer Service Team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Our Alcobendas teaching centre remains closed to the public. All classes will continue to be delivered online while temporary restrictions remain in place in the area.
British Council exams are not affected by the new measures recently announced by the Ministry of Health. Candidates will receive a proof of travel document with their exam confirmation documentation, that will permit travel to an area affected by mobility restrictions.
We continue to offer exams at our centres in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia, as well as all other locations across Spain where we offer exams.
