English Extra - Much more than English classes

Madrid Villaviciosa students can make the most of our free programme of activities in order to enhance their learning experience. Especially popular are initiatives such as our conversation club for adults, and our writing clubs and free mock exams for exam levels. *NEW* We now offer our adult students the opportunity to book a one-to-one tutorial with a teacher twice a term, to clarify any doubts they have and discuss their progress. 

You can also find out about the day-to-day activity in our centre thanks to our online student/parent portal, where you can also find learning materials which complement our book and DVD lending service.

In the Villaviciosa centre there’s a lot more to do in English apart from your class. During our 20-year-history, our centre has been part of the daily life of people in this town. We offer a 16% discount for officially registered residents of Villaviciosa thanks to our collaboration with the council; in addition, we organise free storytelling sessions for children and a reading club for adults in the local library.

LENDING SERVICE

In addition, in our centre you can borrow materials in order to continue learning in the way that best suits you. You'll have access to materials divided by level in order to maximise your progress.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO WE ACCEPT?

YOUNG LEARNERS AND ADULTS
Direct debit, cash deposit in our bank account or bank transfer.  Bank account in La Caixa: ES81 2100 6621 82 2200633918 (name: British Council). Payment receipt: send by email to villaviciosa@britishcouncil.es or hand in to Customer Service, quoting the Student number if you know it. Credit or debit cards (except American Express y Diners Club). Cash payments are not accepted.

DISCOUNTS

• 16% discount for registered residents of Villaviciosa
• If three or more members of your family are registered in any British Council course in Madrid (courses of a minimum of 50 hours), you could benefit from a 5% discount on our courses.
• If you buy the textbooks (where applicable) in Booksellers in Madrid, you'll get a 5% discount on the books.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

I'm an adult. What do I have to do to register?	To sign up you have to do a level test. You can make an appointment and do the written part here. Then, in the centre, you'll do the speaking part and we'll tell you your result. Once you've done the level test, our Customer Services department will give you information about the courses and timetables available.
I'm an parent. What do I have to do to register my child?	If your child is aged between 7 - 17, and they have never studied with us before, you'll need to make an appointment for them to take a level test in the centre. You can make an appointment to do the level test here. Once you've done the level test, our Customer Services department will give you information about the courses and timetables available. Children aged 2 - 6 don't need to do a level test.
What are the benefits of being a student?	The benefits you / your child get for being our student are: access to the resource centre and lending service. access to the student portal, an online tool with a variety of resources for you to improve your English. free access to our English Extra events and activities.
What happens if I decide to cancel the course?	If you decide to cancel before classes start, your money will be refunded except for 60 €  to cover our administrative costs. If you cancel after the course has started, your money will not be refunded. For more information, see the cancellation policy in the centre.
