We have the pleasure to present this year’s British Council’s commission for the British Pavilion, The Garden of Privatised Delights, for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, running from 22 May – 21 November 2021.
Curated by Madeleine Kessler and Manijeh Verghese, The Garden of Privatised Delights invites us to engage in the debate around the privatisation of public space in Britain today; from the pub to the playground, common land to the garden square, the high street to facial recognition technology; topics that have gained further relevance during the last year of the global pandemic.
