The British Council collaborates in the third edition of the festival Luna de Cortos, which this year celebrates Shakespeare, presenting “Shakespeare’s Cuts”, a programme consisting of short films which reinterpret Shakespeare in contemporary language. It is divided in two parts:
- A series of short films produced by the British Council and the Joven Compañia, coordinated by the film director Juanma Carrillo, which are versions of Romeo & Juliet from the perspective of different cinema genres.
- A second series of short films, in their original versions with subtitles, produced by film directors based in the UK which reinterpret Shakespeare’s classics.
