Tom Chant from the Cinematic Orchestra will be playing his own composition live to the Hitchcock silent film, Easy Virtue, part of the Hitchcock cycle taking place at the Filmoteca de Catalunya.
Easy Virtue, based on a Noel Coward play, is an elegant drammatic comedy about a woman accused unjustly of scandalous behaviour who has to put up the gossip and prejudice of an ultraconservative society.
This is a wonderful opportunity to listen to great music while watching a true master of the cinema.
Tom Chant is a saxophonist and composer working mainly in the field of free improvised music. He has appeared on over fifty recordings and has played at a range of music festivals around the world. He has co-composed new soundtracks to the classic silent film Man with a Movie Camera with the Cinematic Orchestra and for two short films with Dorian Concept.
