In collaboration with the Public Reading Services of the Community of Madrid (Public Libraries), the network of European cultural institutes EUNIC Spain is proud to present its EUNIC Reading Corners, recommending some of the best literature from Germany, Finland, France, Italy, UK, Czech Republic and Romania.
The aim of these Reading Corners is to give Madrid readers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with some of the latest trends in European literature. As from 25th May they will be on display in the following public libraries around Madrid: 'Luis Rosales' in Carabanchel, 'José Luis Sampedro' in BP Chamberí 'Pedro Salinas' in Puerta de Toledo, 'Rafael Alberti' in Fuencarral, 'Antonio Mingote' in Latina, 'Elena Fortún' in Retiro, 'José Hierro' in Usera, 'Miguel Hernández' in Puente de Vallecas, 'Luis Martín Santos' in Villa de Vallecas, 'María Moliner' in Villaverde and 'Iván de Vargas' in the city centre.
The EUNIC Reading Corners is a joint project undertaken by the following European institutes based in Madrid: Goethe Institut, Ibero-American Institute of Finland, Alliance Française, Institut Français, Instituto Italiano di Cultura, British Council, Instituto Cultural Rumano and Centro Checo, in collaboration with the Public Libraries of the Community of Madrid (Public Reading Services).
