Join the launch of the Arriaga Series 2023/2024 organised by Ibermúsica with a unique concert by the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano. This marks his first visit to Spain since his appointment in September as the orchestra's designated conductor, a position he will hold in the fall of 2024. The concert will include the participation of soloist Alice Sara Ott, currently one of the most requested pianists in the musical field.
The London Symphony Orchestra will begin the programme with Oh Flower of Fire, a never-before-heard piece by young composer Hannah Kendall (London, 1984) and will conclude after an intermission with the infamous symphonic poem by Richard Strauss Thus Spoke Zaratustra, op. 30 iinspired by Nietzsche's book.
The British Council is holding a draw for one free ticket for 2 people to attend the concert. Join the draw before 15 October at 23:59 (CET). We will get in touch with the lucky winners on 16 October.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, 25 October at 19:30 hs in the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid. For more information, you may visit Ibermúsica's website.
