Come and get to know our Madrid Campus (Paseo del General Martínez Campos, 31) on September 29th, Día Europeo de las Lenguas (#DEL2016). Come to our open day and discover who we are and what we do.

We're working with EUNIC (European Union National Institutes of Culture) to mark #DEL2016 by promoting European languages across Madrid. 

Join us on this special day and take part in our activities. You just need to register here; if you want to attend our guided tours you can choose the option which best suits you on the same page.

Apart from the programmed activities detailed below, you can finish your visit with a traditional English tea in our cafeteria and enter a raffle to win an IPad mini! (adults aged 16 and over).

A taste of the Moon, by Michael Gejniec.
Have you ever wondered what the moon is made of or what it tastes like? Come along on this magical adventure and meet the animals who will tell you the answer!

Six Good Reads - Contemporary Literature in English (for adults and young learners +16)

Daniel Brint will introduce and read extracts from contemporary novels recommended by the British Council Book Club, ranging from psychological thrillers and young adult fiction to modern ghost stories. There are six, fifteen-minute introductions and visitors are welcome to drop in and drop out any time during the session.

Are you thinking about studying in the UK? Then do not miss this session! We will answer the most common questions asked by students and their families on things like recognition of qualifications and required level of English, followed by a Q&A to respond to specific questions.

Our Arts Department is offering a workshop introduction on the viewing of audiovisual works in virtual reality. During this activity, you will discover the most innovative British productions in this sector and become familiar with this new entertainment tool. (For adults 18 and over).

BAFTA short films

In the library we will be projecting the BAFTA Shorts 2016, a programme dedicated to the promotion of the best British short films. There are seven films in total, including three animated short films.

Arts & Crafts Workshop

Leave your young children to play at this fun supervised workshop while you have a look around the other activities.
