New premiere in Spanish cinemas from the Royal Opera House.
November brings the premiere on Covent Garden’s emblematic stage of an eclectic programme of dance by the Royal Ballet. The young choreographer Liam Scarlett will present his work Viscera with the participation of Laura Morera who visited Madrid last September to conduct a masterclass at the Centro de Danza Canal in partnership with the British Council. The night will follow with works choreographed by Jerome Robbins (Afternoon of a Faun) and the renowned George Balanchine (Tchaikovsky Pas de deux). Carlos Acosta’s Carmen, a new ballet inspired by Bizet’s tragic tale of jealousy and desire, concludes this mixed programme.
