Shakespeare for schools

Schools and classes all over Spain can join our celebrations of the life and works of the UK's greatest ever playwright, William Shakespeare.  

Learn English and discover more about the wonderful world of Shakespeare.  Our Shakespeare Tree, Shakespeare y Yo and Cambridge University Press's Limerick competition have finalised and you can see the results below.

Do not worry if you have not managed to take part yet in some of our special Shakespeare activity this year as we have plenty in the pipeline.

Shakespeare y Yo.  Winners!

First of all congratulations to all of our Shakespeare y Yo monologuistas.  We enjoyed all of the performances during the final and judges had a difficult decision to make when awarding the prizes.  

First prize: María Sesmero, IES Fortuni (Madrid).   Maria won a summer course at Regent's University London.

Second prize: Paula Pons,  IES Cap de Llevant (Menorca).  Paula won a trip for two to London.

Third prize: Ikram Kaddouri Bouchta, IES Risador (Melilla). Ikram won tickets for performances at Teatro Canal in Madrid.

Shakespeare Tree.  Winners!

We would like to offer sincere thanks and congratulations to all the pupils and teachers who took part in our competition.  Your creativity and hard work has been truly impressive!  

First prize: Colegio Internacional Áusias March de Valencia's Shakespeare Tree.  The school will receive a 1,000€ prize for school resources and materials.  

Our jury valued "the creativity and engagement of all pupils in Primary as well as the knowledge of and dissemination of the figure of Shakespeare which the school carried out." 

Special prize awarded to  CEIP Bilingüe “Ramón y Cajal” (Zaragoza) and Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Merced (Zaragoza) .

Shakespeare Tree Competition Results

We would like to offer sincere thanks and congratulations to all the pupils and teachers who took part in our competition.  Your creativity and hard work has been truly impressive!  We loved all of your trees and our judges had a really difficult time selecting a winner.  However, as you know, there can only be one winner in any competition and we are delighted to announce that the winning entry is:
