CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH ADVANCED
The Cambridge English Advanced or CAE qualification, aimed at students of an Advanced level, demonstrates the linguistic abilities needed to understand published materials such as magazines and fiction and non-fiction books, write texts of different genres, understand a variety of spoken language, and the ability to communicate effectively in real-life situations.
The exam consists of four papers, testing the four language skills as well as grammar and vocabulary: Reading and Use of English (1 hour 30 minutes), Writing (1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (40 minutes) and Speaking (15 minutes). Reading and Use of English counts for 40% of the total marks, while the other three papers count for 20% each.
Cambridge English Advanced is the ideal test for teenagers preparing for a promising academic future. Passing this exam will allow them to make the most of their studies in English-speaking countries and to obtain an internationally-recognised certificate at the advanced (C1) level.
