Terms and conditions of the prize draw

  1. To enter for the draw you must register your email address to receive the Exams Newsletter, and remain registered until the date of the draw.
  2. Only one entry is allowed per subscriber.
  3. If you are already a subscriber to our newsletter you will automatically be entered for the draw.
  4. It is not necessary to register as a student at the British Council to enter the draw.
  5. Subscribers to the Exams Newsletter must be over 18 and resident in Spain.
  6. Employees of the British Council and their family members may not enter the draw.
  7. By subscribing to the Exams Newsletter you authorise the British Council to store your email address in our subscribers’ list (an automated file). By doing so, you authorise the British Council to send you the Exams Newsletter and other electronic communcations.
  8. Your email address will be added to our list of subscribers and will only be used to communicate offers and information from the British Council. We guarantee that your email address will be held confidentially and under no circumstances will it be shared with third parties.
  9. In accordance with the Organic Law 14/1999 of 13 December on the subject of the Protection of Data of a Personal Nature, the subscriber may at any time request right of access, correction, cancellation or complaint, by writing to the British Council.
  10.  Prizes can not be transferred or exchanged for cash or any other article. If for reasons of availability it is impossible to supply the advertised prize, the British Council reserves the right to offer a substitute a prize of similar characteristics.
  11.  As a participant in the draw, you authorise the British Council to publish your name and place of residence in the event that you win.
  12. The date of the prize draw is as follows:  Subscription period: From 1 April to 30 September 2014 (prize: Kindle Tablet, draw date 30 September 2014)
  13. The draw will take place in the presence of the Head of the Exams Department and the  Head of Communications of the British Council Spain. So that the prize does not go unclaimed, a winner and a runner up will be chosen for each prize.
  14. The winner will receive notification via email within two weeks of the draw date.
  15. The prize will be delivered within 30 days of the winner being notified.
  16. If a month passes from the notification by email of the winner or their nominee, and they have not contacted the British Council to claim the prize, it will be considered to be unclaimed.
  17. On entering the draw, you accept these terms and conditions.
  18. The British Council reserves the right to change the date of the draw if it considers this necessary.
