About

About our centre

The Somosaguas Teaching Centre is one of the largest in a global network which extends across more than 80 countries, with approximately 2,000 students aged 3 to adults.

All of our teachers hold officially recognised qualifications and have a wide range of experience. They also regularly attend training sessions organised by our Continuous Professional Development department and as a result, our centre has the highest reputation in the English Language teaching sector.

OUR INSTALLATIONS

Our students are able to enjoy the excellent installations at the British Council School and all classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and internet access so that all students can learn in a dynamic and age appropriate environment using the latest technology.

English Extra - Much more than English classes

The best way of consolidating the English learnt in class is by incorporating it naturally into your everyday life. In our centre, students can complement their learning with these free activities from our English Extra programme. Adults and older teenagers can improve their fluency in conversation with a teacher and a classmate in Speaking Extra, and practise their written expression through Writing Extra. Students aged 8-12 can sign up for our Code Club in which they learn the basics of programming in a lively and motivating way. Our younger students take centre stage in our free storytelling sessions, where they can practise their English and have fun, while also learning about a range of topics .

Whatever the age or needs of the student, you can make an appointment once a term to have a chat with the teacher about your progress or that of your children aged 5 - 17 years old. You can book through our Student Portal, where you can also take advantage of a range of educational resources.

LENDING SERVICE

In addition, in our centre we have a well-stocked and very attractive library from where you can borrow from a range of materials in order to continue learning in the way that best suits you. You'll have access to materials divided by level in order to maximise your progress.
